Ollie’s new owner at Morningstar Stables States, “Ollie has helped so many people since she has been with me. Young, old, some with physical challenges, veterans suffering from ptsd. She has helped with therapeutic riding, typical riding and Equine Assisted Learning. She seems to love her job. She has the stamina for a young rider to learn to post the trot with a steady gait or the gentleness for a little one to start learning how to balance and have good equitation. She has the same steadiness for a young mom with MS and a grandma who battled cancer and now has one hip.
They both are able to ride her independently. She is patient, very responsive and her riders learn to care about what she is feeling from them because she will do what their bodies ask. When they learn to relax, she will reward them with a steady gait, walking or trotting. They can speed her up or slow her down while they learn body awareness and also empathy for their loyal little horse. She never says no but I also let her know I will listen to and consider her feelings when she has concerns. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her gentle spirit. She speaks for herself, I don’t have to say a word.
